Open all year
A
bit about our Park - The picture above was taken from behind
the Bar - it overlooks the Somerset Levels & Moors, with the Quantock
Hills in the foreground and the Blackdown hills behind them. A lovely
area to sit, unwind and enjoy time just passing by. The Childrens
playarea is situated to the right of this area, so parents can keep
an eye on them. Unfortunately, it is not possible to see the view
from any of the pitches or the Static Caravans.
Because
of our situation we can not & will not ever flood. However, the
ground is in general 8" of top soil and then onto White Lias
Rock. This is very benefical when it rains as the land drains extremely
well. But it does mean that our ground is still very hard at all times
and we recommend you bring 'Rock Pegs' (but we do sell them if you
forget.)

note that this is a free service and we can not guarentee that it
will reach every static caravan or every pitch. The main area it
does serve is in the Games Room, in the Bar area and behind the

but can be very hit & miss.

park, a chance to talk over events of the day and perhaps even tell
some of those fisherman's tales! Murphy's Kitchen serves meals to
suit all tastes and diets, from a full English breakfast to snacks

including Vegetarian dishes. Special Occassions can also be catered

The
Play-area is set on the edge of 9.5 acres of natural woodland, and
has been designed by experters to
cater for all ages, even those who are young at heart ! The pictures
show just a sample of the area, which is set behind the Bar Patio,
near enough for those enjoying a relaxing evening & a drink
to be able to keep watch on the younger members of the family, but
in an area so as not to desturb others. This was completed March
2004. We can not be held responsible for anyone climbing trees.
Only Soft Balls are permitted on the camping field and around the
statics, footballs and all other hard balls may be played with only
in the old Vineyard area, however this is on a slope. Please consider
those around you when playing any game, everyone is on holiday.
Dogs
on the Park - Dogs are most welcome on our park & we
do not charge for them. However, we do have 2 basic common sense
rules. 1 - Dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the
main park. 2 - Owners must pick up after them (yellow bins are provided
around the park). Under no circumstances can dogs
be left unattended in our Caravans or on the camping field.
For
Dogs -- whilst you are on holiday you may wish to visit
one of the many attractions in the area that you feel is not suitable
for taking your dog to, or it may be a hot day & better for
the dog than to be left in a hot car. Further up the lane to the
park is an excellent Kennels run by Dave, Tina & family. where
you can leave the dog for just the day. This can be booked direct
on 01458 250556.
Fancy
a change in those Dark Cold Winter Months - Then why not
visit the Park in September to November and witness the spectacular
of the Somerset Carnivals. These illuminated processions that take
place throughout the area are a sight to be seen and can only be
likened to 'Blackpool on Wheels'. See dates on our Events
list
