Access Statement For Bowdens Crest Caravan & Camping Park
Introduction
We are a family owned holiday park with Static Caravans for Hire, accept Tents,
Trailer Tents, Motor-homes & Touring Caravans. Open all year.
Pre-Arrival
Booking is advisable and can be done by phone, email or personal visit. The
nearest town is Langport which is 1.5 miles away by Car. The main road is not
suitable for walking but a walking route can be obtained upon request. Local
Taxi company numbers are shown in our phone box and can be given upon request.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Disabled Caravan with adjacent parking,
All other vehicle for those hiring a Caravan should be parked in our Car Park.
Tourers & Tents park adjacent to pitches.
Main Entrance & Reception
Please report to Reception/Shop on Arrival - please ring the bell.
Public Areas - General (Internal)
Main areas of the park are all level and buildings have ramps suitable for wheelchairs.
All doors are opened manually and all public buildings have wooden floors. A
Public phone box is available 24 hours a day. A drinking bowl for Dogs is situated
by the Games Room, they should be exercised in the old vineyard which is level
at the top but has a sharp slope. All doors on site accept wheelchairs
Public Areas - WC
The toilet/shower block is accessed by a ramp and one end and steps at the other.
It has a Family Bathroom with Baby changing facility, Disabled Shower Room as
well as Ladies & Gents rooms, with showers, sinks & toilets. All rooms
have free hairdryers, shaver points, hand dryers & soap.
Restaurant /Bar
Our Bar/Restaurant caters for Toddlers, Children OAP's & Adults and has
a Toddlers Menu along with the Childrens Menu. Smaller portions are available
for some dishes. Special diets can be catered for. The building has disabled
toilet and doors. The rear doors open out onto a seating area with panoramic
views across the Somerset Levels & Moors. The Bar serves local beers and
cider along with a selection of soft drinks, spirits and tea & coffees.
Laundry
Hand Washing facilities along with Washing Machines & dryers. Rotary lines
with pegs available.
Shop
Shop open 7 days a week. Just ring the bell for service. The Shop stocks all
basic items including bread, milk, tinned food, cakes, crisps and newspapers
can be ordered. We stock Gas refils, small range of camping accessories, ice-creams,
toys, maps & gifts.
Leisure Facilities
Games Room with Wifi access, machines, pool table, football table, small Library
for books & Videos. Childrens colouring & TV. Information leaflet area.
Outdoor Facilities
Woodland Trail play area situated on a slight slope adjacent to the outdoor
seating behind the bar. Also area for walking the dogs and flying kites.
Caravans, Holiday Homes & Twin Units
Static Caravans For Hire 2 & 3 bedroomed. Available for 1 night or upto
12 weeks. All fully equipped.
Touring Facilities (Holiday Parks)
Level field with Electric Hookups. Fridge Freezer for you to freezer your own
ice packs accessable 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
