The Old Games Room
Demolishion of the Old Games Room & Marquee commenced on Friday 19th January 2007
We had a lot of very strong winds on Thursday 18th & at one point wondered if this work would commence on time, but the weather was kind to us & Friday saw a dry and bright morning.

and then the building has to come down !!!

The demolition carried on throughout the week

Before being a Games Room, we used this building as our Bar, however originally it was a Garage !

We had to tie rope on the end & tried & tried to pull the building down, Mind you we do want to keep the phone box !!

Whilst digging, a water pipe was once again found. No messing Ken got an axesaw - luckily enough it was not live! (this time)

then the concrete arrived for the base.
Work recommenced on Monday 12th March 2007 & although there were a few hick ups, by 2.30 on Tuesday they were upto the start of the roof.

Work during the week progressed quickly

At this stage they were still working around the Phone Box, by the end of the week the shell is almost complete.
Although there is still another door to go in ! The outside area has also progressed well

Theres a ramp at the front of the building, and another that will lead to the bar side door & the missing door !!!
The front of this area will be planted (eventually) (2008 now done)

Now includes Pool Table, Football Table, Game Machines & FREE to use Wifi for those with their own Laptop
TV, Childrens Games & Colouring along with Information leaflets for attractions & events in the area.
The Book Library has a new section of Video's which seems to be increasing.
